Heart Sounds International’s mission statement includes helping ignite worship in places where Christ-followers are “restricted, persecuted or unknown.” Because of our focus in these places, many stories are hard to share online. But I’d like to share what I can from this past year over a series of blog posts. Here’s a story from Southeast Asia that HSI co-founder, Frank Fortunato, wrote and I edited.
This is from our project in February, where Frank taught on biblical worship and I led the HSI portion of the team we had and sat as a learner under Frank and Paul Neeley, HSI’s ethnomusicology advisor and songwriting workshop leader. The team was a joint partnership with an American church, and we were joined by others from the church, two who were the recording/video team of the worship workshop, and others who taught a pastors’ seminar in the Pastoral Epistles.
